Day 7

Hey what's up everyone ! I can't believe we are already done with a week on the trail. Today we woke up at the motel and we are not going to lie it was hard getting out to bed to come hike in the rain lol We were standing outside on main road by 715 in the rain with our thumbs out for every passing car. It took us around 10 mins and some older guy stopped and offered a ride . I feel lucky to have Kayla because people feel bad seeing a girl out hitch hiking or they feel safer with a girl. Anywho it works out for me lol time we got to the trail at dicks creek gap it was 745 And we were off. We stopped at first shelter to see who was there and a group of 3 older guys. Now let me take second to ask you to think of the most hillbilly guy you ever saw ?.... Now double that lol these guys were characters . All had huge all beards . Wearing camo and were pretty dirty haha one guy didn't have camo on he has leather Indian jacket thing. The ones with the tassels on the sleves haha and they were all soaked haha one guy said something to me and I kid you not I couldn't make out a word he said but other the other guys did and responded and then looked at me like I was about to say something haha I just said ya and nodded haha 

Today we hiked out of Georgia and into North Carolina woot woot . It's crazy we already have one state done. Today's weather was another crappy day 50s wet and windy . But we still managed to hike 16.7 by 430. We like getting to camp early gives us plenty of time to get everything done and socialize . We talked to quite of few people tonight couple thru hikers one section hiker and a couple In 60s who are out here having fun haha the old guy said he likes to go clubbing.  He said his favorite club is the bump and grind hahaha.

We are getting pretty good at a system of setting up tent and getting ready at night and same for morning break down . It's not a fast process lol but we are getting it down . 

Tomorrow weather is supposed to start warming up so keep fingers crossed . We have hiked 86.7 miles in the 7 days . Really 6 not counting the zero day.  I will post pics of us in rain gear today and some other goodies . Goodnight everyone !!!
